[MUSIC] Coffee Boy

Okay, it's time for the music corner!

So today, I found a singer named Coffee Boy. He has a sweet voice and he composes his own songs. I've been listening to his songs and I found that each of his songs is showing who he really is. And here I go, sharing some of his music:

1. Smile (웃는다)

So there are parts of the lyrics that says:
어디 내 마음 위로할 곳 없나
그냥 한숨만 쉬고 있을 때
저기 멀리 보이는 화사한 니 모습
(Are there no place for my heart to be comfort?
When I was sighing
I saw your bright face)

웃는다 나도 웃는다
그 미소 세상 환하게 비춘다
아름다운 너의 미소 나만 보며 웃어주길
(You smile, and that makes me smile too
That smile makes the world shines
I hope that you will give that beautiful smile only when you're looking at me)

2. That's Nothing

This song is telling you that no matter what kind of problem that you're facing right now, that's all nothing. You just need to get up. Everything will be alright.

시간 지나면 웃을 수 있는걸
너도 너무 잘 알잖아 일어나
(If the time passes, you can smile
You know that very well too, don't you? Get up)

3. Wounds Will Be Stars (상처는 별이 되죠)

Everyone have been hurt in their lives. But as time passes, when you look back, you'll realize that the hurts that you had, they're the one that made you who you are today. They made you strong. I'm sure there are many things that hurt you a lot in the past, but you can laugh at it today, aren't there? That's when you'll realize, your wounds have become stars.

그대에게 꼭 말하고 싶은 하늘의 비밀
(The secret of the sky that I really have to tell)

상처는 별이 되죠
눈물 흘린 그 만큽
더욱 빛나죠
(Wounds will be stars
As much as the tears that flow
You will shine more)

상처는 별이 되죠
아프고 아픈 만큼
더 높이 빛나죠
(Wounds will be stars
As much as you've been hurt and hurt
You will shine more high)

그냥 크게 웃어요
다 지나갈 거에요
겨울 지나 꽃 피죠
(Just smile widely
Everything will pass
Just like flowers will bloom after the winter)

You can listen more of his music here. If you can't read Korean, just search for "음악공장" on the left side, then you can open the posts and listen to it.

[MUSIC] Huh-gak vs John Park

Hello everyone~! I've posted about a song titled "Always" from Huh-gak, haven't I? Huh-gak is the winner of a singing competition in Korea named Superstar K2. So it seems like this song is a song that he sang in the final. Not only him, his competitor, John Park, was singing this song as well. But it seems like because Huh-gak is the winner, they only released Huh-gak's version of the song. But I want to share John's performance too, because I love him. And I love his version. This is the live version that they did that night:

Sooo tell me, which version do you like more? ^^

[MUSIC] Easy-listening Songs

I'm back with another great music that I want to share! These are the songs that I listen every night. Check this out!

1. John Park - Good Day
This song is a track on John Park's newest album. This is not the title track though, but I can say that I like this song more than the title. It has a fresh and fun feelings in it. And John's voice is completing the whole package of this song!

2. Standing Egg - The Sunlight Hurts (feat. Han So-hyun)
The next song comes from an indie Korean band, named Standing Egg. It pictures the sadness and hurts that you feel when you go through break ups. This is really a nice song. I can say that this is my favorite among all the songs in my playlist right now.

3. AJ Rafael - She Was Mine (feat. Jesse Barrera)
So now, a song by AJ Rafael. He is an indie singer from Philippines. This song is telling you about a man who has to leave the girl he loves. He keeps on waiting for her even though now she belongs to another man. Because for him, she was still his girl. Anyway this song is in English. It's not Korean :p

[MUSIC] American Idol Top 7 Week 1

Although it's a little bit late, I want to share some great performances by TOP 7 American Idol Season 11. This week theme is songs from 2010-2012. These are my favorite of the night:

Colton Dixon performed Love the Way You Lie by Eminem feat. Rhianna. He performed this song while playing a white grand piano. And as always, Dixon sang this song with his own color. He's still working hard to receive a standing ovation from the judges tho.

Jessica Sanchez performed Stuttering by Jazmine Sullivan. She did a great job as she always does. However, it was revealed at the result show that she received the lowest number of votes. She was out, but fortunately, the judges save her. She deserved the safe. I'm sure Sanchez's fans will vote like crazy this week lol.

Hollie Cavanagh, one of my favorite this season along with Dixon, performed Fuckin' Perfect by Pink. Seems like she still has many things to work on if she wants to be the next American Idol. The judges still gave her some critics, but I love her performance. And her voice.

The contestants did a duet stage again just like last week, with the same pairing: Phillips-Testone with Somebody That I Used to Know by Gotye ft. Kimbra and Dixon-Laine with Don't You Wanna Stay by Jason Aldean & Kelly Clarkson. The only difference is that Cavanagh joined Ledet-Sanchez, performed Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You) by Kelly Clarkson. All of these couples did a great job, but I love Ledet-Cavanagh-Sanchez's performance the most. You can check it by yourself ;)

Will be back with another report about great performances on American Idol next week. Stay tune!

[MUSIC] Great Performances with Kim Gun-mo's Songs

A friend of mine gave me some performances to watch, and it comes from Immortal Songs 2 where they did cover of singer Kim Gun-mo. So here is Sung-hoon of Brown Eyed Soul covering one of Kim Gun-mo's greatest hits. And this performance is just great! Especially near the end. This is a fun performance which will bring laughs and fun to the audience.

Next, still from Immortal Songs 2 and still covering Kim Gun-mo's song, here is No Brain. I'm warning you, this is a crazy performance. The crazy thing is how they arrange this song. This is just like a totally different song! And the guitarist play the guitar using his mouth as well.. Crazy. Just crazy lol.

Okay, done with the crazy performances. Let's move to a sweet and beautiful performance by Lyn who performed One Sided Love by Kim Gun-mo. This song is telling you about how hurt it is when you have a one sided love. She performed this song with all of her heart, maybe that's why she broke into tears at the end of her performance. She lost her voice because she was crying, but you can feel it, you can feel the hurt. She did a great job.

That's all I have for now. Will be back with another great performances. :D

[MUSIC] Korean Live Performance

I have posted about a Korean show titled "Immortal Songs 2" before, haven't I? So this show is about a Korean present singer performing old Korean songs. There are some performances that I really love, that even though it was performed a long time ago but I still remember those performances. So, here we go.

1. The first performance is performed by B2ST's main vocal, Yang Yo-seob (양요섭) who covered Boo-hwal's Heeya. Yo-seob performed the song with a famous guitarists. He did a good job arranging the song, because it was really beautiful. Sweet melody of acoustic guitar blends perfectly with his beautiful voice.

2. The second performance is Davichi's Lee Hae-ri (이해리) who performed Shin Seung-hoon's Somewhere A Little Above Me. This song tells you about someone who lose his loved ones. She died, but I won't be sad anymore. Because I know that now she's just in a place, somewhere a little above where I am. The lyrics are so beautiful, I will post the English Translation later. And Hae-ri did justice to this beautiful song with her powerful voice.

3. The third is Huh-gak (허각) with Lee Seung-chul's You Are The Only One For Me. Huh-gak's voice is really powerful and he has a long breathe. His powerful explosion in the middle of his performance is so great. And this song is very very sweet. Huh-gak has a powerful and a sweet voice altogether. Confuse? Watch the performance and you'll know what I mean!

4. The forth and the last is Cho Kyu-hyun (조규현) who performed A Study of Memories by Kim Dong-ryul. Kyu-hyun's voice is the sweetest voice I ever heard. His voice definitely melts my heart. He's my favorite singer and this performance really makes me proud as his fans! The melody of the violin and his voice are the best combination ever. Make sure to watch this performance!

How do you think? Which is your favorite performance?

[MUSIC] American Idol Top 8 Result Show

DeAndre Brackensick is out. It's true that last night is not his best performance. And seeing the progress of other contestants, for me it seems like he's a little bit behind. Or I can say, he was regressing. Because last week performance was far more better than yesterday, how should I put this, last week he was AWESOME. That's why I want to share that awesome performance here.
DeAndre, you have a long bright future ahead. Keep going, bro. This is only the beginning for you. Only the beginning.

[MUSIC] Colton Dixon's Cover of Billy Joel's Piano Man

This is a video of a performance on American Idol Season 11 by Colton Dixon. That week theme is Billy Joel and Colton picked a song titled Piano Man.
He performed the song while playing a red grand piano and that was so cool. His performance deserved a standing ovation, which the judges didn't give. They gave a positive response though.

Well but, this is one of my favorite performances by Idol Contestants this season. I'd like to share this to all of you. Enjoy, guys ;)

[MUSIC] Hong Kyung-min's Cover of Kim Gun-mo's Excuse

I was just searching for a good show to watch on TV, when I tuned in to KBSWorld Immortal Songs 2. It is a show about Korean present singers covering some old songs. Then I got to see this great performance by Hong Kyung-min. I didn't really like him, but his performance is just so enjoyable and fun. It'll be great if there is a subtitle for you who can't speak Korean, but I can't find one. But watching it without subtitle is fun enough too ^^
He covered Kim Gun-mo's Excuse.
